Rotary is a volunteer organization of 1.2 million business and professional leaders united worldwide to encourage humanitarian service, to help build goodwill and to promote peace. Over 32,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries meet weekly to plan fundraising efforts and execute local and world-wide service projects. Clubs are nonpolitical and open to every race, culture, and creed.

The Humanity In Motion Gala started in 2010. The primary purposes of the event were to establish a yearly fundraising effort for the Rotary Foundation of District 5810, to bring Rotarians together for a a celebratory evening and to introduce the local and world-wide good work of Rotary to the community.

Over three hundred twenty-five people attended the first gala at the Anatole Hotel-Dallas. Our guests enjoyed dinner, dancing , and silent/live auctions along with a moving presentation regarding Rotary’s fight to eradicate Polio. Nearly $45,000 was netted and gifted to the Rotary Foundation from the Dallas area.

Thank you for joining us for this very special annual event. Your generous support of the Rotary Foundation reaches the world through health and humanitarian service, Polio eradication, literacy, educational scholarships, clean water, peace and conflict resolution. We look forward to seeing you at the next Humanity In Motion Gala in February 18, 2012. If you would like to become a Friend of the Rotary Foundation, a sponsor of the gala or would like more information about how to join with us to meet the challenges of our world please contact us.
